We were originally from Arizona, I can see that. Perhaps that is why the cold is felt more in Missouri. Or like the locals call it "Misery". Even after all these years.

now this really takes me back. growing up close to a river, and with multitudes of stock tanks, this was me.

homemade raft, except add about three more dogs. growing up, we almost always adopted pups that were dropped off, so long as they didn't bother the live stock.......many time in the summer months, those dogs and me roamed the area pastures, and often took swims at the river, or whichever stock tank we happened to be at when we got hot.
