Rabbit mites, how to diagnose and treat??? Balding and danduff on ear

Looking at a scraping under a micrscope (or having a vet do so) will give clear answers.

No, oil won't treat mites. Ivermectin, Revolution, or permethrin is what's used in my area.

How old is your friends rabbit? Has shedding been ruled out?

May I ask, do you know the dosage to giving a rabbit Ivermectin? I am thinking of using this one:

My friends rabbit is a year old female and a rex and dutch mix. Thank you for your time.

My friends pet rabbit is suddenly loosing fur on her ears and has dandruff. I looked up how to cure it and most people say Ivermectin, but people also say it's not safe for dutch rabbits. Has anyone on here successfully cured fur mites on rabbits naturally?

Probably not what you are looking for, but I would use Revolution which is labeled for use in rabbits.
It contains Selamectin, which is supposed to be a bit nicer for the animal.
