Rabbit mites

One of our rabbits has small black bugs and appears a bit dusty like dandruff. I'm seeing on line that rabbit mites can be treated with ivermectin paste. Does anyone have experience with this? Or know another way to get rid of the mites?

Hi! We had a bunny for over 10 years. He got ear mites once, and we put a pea-sized dollop of ivermectin paste on his nose (they lick it off) and it completely cleared up all the ear mites in days. They never came back.

I don’t know if it’ll work on other kinds of mites, but might be worth a try.
