Raising chickens after they hatch

Will this work for when they hatch. I want to order it but I have to make sure first

This will all depend on what your doing. Are you ordering mail order chicks? Hatching your own? Going to your feed store?
Yes most of that will work but it can get pretty expensive if your only raising a few chicks. The heat lamp is a must, feeders, waterers, shavings, and a small box/tub will work if you don't want to spend much on a brooder box.
 
I only use a heat lamp when it's really cold, this time of year a 60w or 75w bulb will be enough for a small group of chicks (I have 20 under a 60w in my den now).

If you have a feed store or place like TSC close by, you will get better prices there, I suspect.
 
My sisters father in law has chicken farm and he gets his hens for Tyson's chicken. He gave us some since they are fertile and we decided to hatch them vs eat them. So right now I have them growing in the incubator that holds 7 eggs. I was looking to buy this setup for when they enter the world
