Ramp Timer for Incandescent - Gradual On/Off Fade

A simple timer will do on/off. If it's on a dimmer it would be on/off at whatever preset light level you have made.

If you go with a smart light,it can do other things, like raise and lower the light level. Most are LED. I'm not sure why you are specifically wanting incandescent for this application. There are full spectrum LEDs that simulate sunlight too. You will need wifi to do it this way. I have attached a link to an incandescent smartlight. I am concerned where in the description is says "shatter resistant coating" because sometimes this means teflon coating which is toxic to chickens when it heats up.

A smart light is not plugged into a timer, it is programmed by your computer to come on/off at specified times. It's a different kind of timer, which is why you would need wifi.

In your case it would gradually brighten/dim at the specified times.

Sorry I researched this a lot this time last year, but didn't save all my info because in the end I decided not to provide supplemental lighting...

Perhaps this is better, a smart fixture not smart bulb, then you can use any dimmable light bulb you want. Something along the lines of this, which you install where your switch is.
