Real information on COCCIDIOSIS (bloody diarrhea / blood in poop)

If your chickens do come down with blood in their poop I recommend taking a fecal sample to your vet to see what you are actually dealing with. If that isn't possible I would go ahead and treat all the chickens with corid. It might not be coccidiosis but if by chance it is it can kill your chickens (especially young ones) quickly. Pay close attention to space requirements and sanitation. That will not guarantee that your birds will never get coccidiosis because there are numerous ways to get it, but it will help.

I also recommend always putting 1 tablespoon of raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar (such as Bragg's brand) in each gallon of your bird's drinking water.

I should be considered a newbie who is still learning too. :)
