Hi I have 4 barred rock hens bought then as pullets September last year they lay a egg each nearly every day even over winter buts past month our so I notice a small bald patch in the middle lower part of breast skin is redy pink, what is this, is this broodyness our a mite problem , they don't seem to be in any distress and they perch and lay in same coops as always and don't seem to be scratching themselves

Can you post pictures? She may be resting her keel on the roost, or laying in bedding rather than roosting, which is rubbing and putting pressure on that area, causing feather loss and irritation. Check the bottoms of her feet for any signs of bumblefoot, black spots or scabs, that can sometimes cause them to rest on the roost that way. Pictures of anything you find would be helpful.
