Red Raw Areas Near Vent

We suspected mites several weeks ago and have removed all of the winter shavings in the coop. All of the roosts have been thoroughly washed. New shavings have been added to the coop along with food grade diatomaceous earth. We have tried garlic spray and added garlic to their water. Some of the girls still have very red raw areas near their vents. I have 6 hens and about half of them show some signs of this. Is this mites? Should we do something else? Could it be pecking from another hen?

Oh that's too much redness do u dust her ? For mites check her abdomen if its squishy or hard redness sometimes cause if (water belly)

No, we don't dust her. The only thing that we have tried is garlic spray to the bare areas.

Did this condition ever get resolved? Some of our 7m/o hens have recently developed this only around their vents. What did you do to resolve?
