I've never heard it's specifically bad to feed them chilled food, although it doesn't seem like the best idea. But if you think about it, chickens eat feed from their feeders all winter long, and in many parts of the country that means the feed is below freezing. And I have yet to hear of a feeder warming unit! So cold food is presumably not as bad for them as it would be for a tropical bird like a parrot.

That being said, if you don't want to feed them cold rinds, that's okay too! You can't microwave a giant stack like that, but could you leave them out for a while before giving them to the chickens?

If you're in a hurry you could fill a bucket or your kitchen sink with lukewarm water and let the rinds soak for 5-10 minutes.
