Remind me again... When do you start counting incubation days?

You are on day 7 and lockdown should be Friday the 12th and expected hatch day would be Monday the 15th.
Thank you!

I couldn't remember.

This is my first time incubating. Seems like no matter how much research you do, experience isn't the same as hands on.
I know what to look for but am I to chart something?

A lot of us use the size of the air cells to know if our humidity ranges are ok. If you are interested this gives a decent explanation: http://letsraisechickens.weebly.com...anuals-understanding-and-controlling-humidity and how to adjust humidity based on the size of the air cells.

If you want some good candling pics to compare development with, this is an awesome thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...g-candling-pics-progression-though-incubation

You can read and read but until you do it you really don't get it...lol

Yep. Thanks!
I'm actually dry hatching and my humidity is staying around 40 without water. Not sure how else to adjust it.

It's basically just making sure there's not too much moisture loss, but enough. 40% is a decent range. I prefer the "dry" incubations, they are so much easier and usually have better results.
