Hello,
When I was a kid my family raised a lot of chickens as pets, (like flocks of 40-60 at a time). I just bought my first home with my husband and son and thought it would be great to get a few back yard chickens. My husband and I went out and got these two chicks. We were told they were pullets, however after showing my mother some pictures she said she thought the Rhoad Island Red may be a rooster.
This is an issue as I live in a residential area and am not allowed to have roosters--so if one of them turns out to be one we would need to find it a new home. If that is the case I want to know asap since we only have two chicks, I can introduce a third so the pullet won't be alone after we rehome the rooster.
Any ideas on the genders fo these chicks?
The Rhode Island Red is named Ginger and the Ameraucana Tilly
