Ok so i have 2 Rhode Island Reds that i hatched in my incubator about 2 weeks ago. One has the notorious dark chipmunk stripe from his head to mid back and the other does not. Instead he has is very light yellow on his head and shoulder region. Untill recently I always thought the chipmunk striped was a pullet and the other a roo but i'm noticing that the "roo" has been feathering in alot quicker than the chipmunk striped "hen" which i think is notorius for a pullet but its comb is much much much more distinct and formed. It's quite a contradiction that he is feathering in faster but also has a huge comb compared to the other. I can post pics if needed. Thanks
