Rooster attacked cockerel

Last night my Black Polish rooster attacked my Black Polish cockerel to the point that his head was bloody. Today he has been sleeping most of the day and seems very wobbly on his feet. He keeps bobbing his head up and down when standing. Could the rooster have caused some brain damage and if so, what do I do?

We are putting up a new pen for the rooster because I don't want him around any of the chickens now but I can't get rid of him because he is my granddaughters pet. Ugh!!

How bad is the wound? I've seen some pretty bad head wounds on here and on my own chickens and they heal without problems. Did you clean the wound? what have you put on it? make sure whatever you use doesn't have pain relief ending in caine. I'd get some blue-kote and spray the wound with that it helps to heal and also disguises the wound, just don't get it in his eyes or mouth. Hope all turns out well.

His wound looks good but I'm not so sure about his poor little brain!! He's definitely a little off today.
