Have had this boy for many years - he's a good roo. Sadly, a few months back a predator got into the coop and killed three of my girls. Was either a racoon or a mink, as it just ripped their heads off. RooRoo must have done some defending, as he's been limping ever since. I couldn't see any injuries at the time.
While he's a sweet boy, I can't pick him up or really get close, so have never been able to get a very good look. Best I have been able to do is spray some antibiotics and liquid bandage on it at night when he's sleepy.
Assuming if it was infected, he'd be dead by now, as it's been 4 months. But it definitely bothers him. He's constantly lifting that leg up and stretching it out. It looks bad and I'm worried he's in a lot of pain.
Attached some pictures. Anyone have any thoughts?
