No Orpington. They have white legs, which is a dominant feature. Looks like it might be a New Hampshire.

My thought exactly. It has a very large comb and wattles even for a pullet at laying age, but everything else about that bird including color and rounded tail feathers says pullet.Your 'rooster' looks like a red sexlink hen. How old is that bird?
