Hi. We are relatively new to keeping chickens and recently purchased this pekin frizzle bantam, I was assured it was a hen, but now not so sure. Any thoughts welcomed please.

Is this a rooster or a hen? It's around 5 months old and hasn't crowed yet. Also is it a Buff Orpington?

Buff Orpington cockerel. Very visible long, thin, pointed saddle feathers.

About 14 weeks, I think! We have had her/him for 6 weeks, I think she was about 8 ish weeks when we got her (the breeder was not good, to say the least )

Thanks Junebuggena that makes me at least 9 roosters out of my 50 odd chickens that need to be culled. I have 2 older roos I want to keep and several younger roos that need to mature more before culling. These are some of my chickens. The rest are out running around.

I'm leaning toward pullet, but it's hard not knowing age. Do you have pics from when you got it?
