Just a fun little video I put together.
We have been waiting for our Rooster to crow. We live in a rural area and part of the joy of a rooster. Our nine year old daughter has been holding him and crowing at him to encourage. She's teaching. Then, we had and experience of being Rooster Dumped. I posted about that here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/791809/weve-been-rooster-dumped That Rooster's crowing encourage our guy to start practicing, and he did a bit. Then, this morning, we were watching the video of Dino-Scientist Jack Horner discussing making a Dino Chicken. Yes, it's true. It's here. http://www.ted.com/talks/jack_horner_building_a_dinosaur_from_a_chicken.html Different topic, but really, the Dinosaur qualities of the birds hasn't escaped us. So just as we're watching the vid, we pause it for a second and here "Little John's" ragged Crow outside. So here it is, complete with a bit of Jurassic Park Theme Music for effect. Enjoy.

Little John's crow sounds pretty good considering he just started. Some of the initial crows from my roosters were strange one or two syllable screeches. Hearing the rooster crow is definitely one of the many perks of living in the country.

Nice job!
