I have this rooster (1 year old) and he has lately been stumbling like a drunk. I noticed this yesterday when I went to give my chickens water and saw him just lounging on the floor laying on one side. He seemed fine, like he wasn’t looking sad or depressed, he was fully aware just looking around the place. I tried to stand him up and he would stand up for a bit then he would tumble. I checked if there was anything wrong with is legs, but he is able to stand on both of them for a decent amount of time. Then I checked his wing, which both look fine but, I have noticed him only lying down of his left side, and when he does lie on his right, he extends his left wing out. I’m thinking it’s a broken wing and, if so, what can I do to help him? I did notice his head looked a bit if centered from his body and his crop looks a little enlarged. I checked for sour crop and I did not notice white spots in his mouth or was his crop squishy but it was hard. What can I do to help him? (Note: all he does is lie down and look around very alert like normal)

Do you have any pictures or video? Videos can be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo with a link posted here. He may have wry neck or other neurological symptoms, but it could be a vitamin deficiency, head injury, or it could be a sign of Mareks disease. I would get some human vitamin E and B complex, and give him 400 IU of E orally and 1/4 tablet of B complex crushed and dissolved in a bit of food or a spoonful of water. It may be better to separate him in a dog crate with food and water within reach, so he doesn’t get bullied or injured. The crate could remain inside the coop if there is room.

Here’s some pictures of him right now, he spends most of the day sleeping and sometimes have times where he seems nice and awake. He also moves his head around and opens his beak to breathe.

How is your rooster doing? Has there ever been any improvement? Sorry that I lost touch with this thread?
Well, he did great for a month and was even showing signs of recovery like clicking and trying to stand up on his own after his neck became incredibly twisted. Unfortunately in the late hours of the night two days ago, he peacefully passed away. I feel better now to know that he is not suffering anymore.
