Safe to assume this 6.5 week polish is a roo?

This is one of our Silver Laced Polish chicks. He is 6.5 weeks old and is the most dominant of all 8 of my polish (4 silver laced and 4 golden laced). He will challenge one of my golden laced regularly (which makes me think that one might be a roo too. They both have similar crests. Although, I had two silkies that would fight like that and one turned out to be a hen). All of the Silver Laced started developing little combs around 3.5-4 weeks but this one’s has kept growing and turned red. His crest feathers are very pointy and thin compared to some of the others. This is our first time raising Polish and I am not confident determining gender. I plan to rehome him soon if that is the case to free up space.

Yes your bird does look like a cockerel I’m afraid. 6.5 weeks is still early though and they are a hard to sex breed. If you are able I would keep for a few more weeks just to be sure
