Have two ducks sitting on same nest, today two ducklibgs hatched from under them.Should I leave the drake in tbere or seperate him.He is out free ranging right now but keeps wanting to go in.We had one hatch a,few days ago and it went mia not sure uf he ate it or it wondered off or what.Imput plz!!!

The hen can't always protect them, and if you already suspect him of hurting the first baby, stay on the safe side and keep him away until the babies are at least a few weeks old.

That really depends on the Drake?? Some are great fathers and protect the Ducklings...Some are buggers and will kill them....All depends. The hen will protect them for sure!
I meant that hens will TRY to protect the ducklings....Not throw the Drake in thinking she will keep them safe...

Sorry for not explaining that well......
