Hello everyone,
Well there are lots of posts on sexing chicks and I thought I'd add mine in.

I have a 5 week old bantam (photo 1) and a 4-week old Lavender Orpington and Rhode Island Red (photos 2 and 3). They are all looking very roo-like. The RIR and Orpington are the sweetest chicks and I just love them. The bantam is feisty but really sweet too. The last time I had chicks this friendly they were all boys. The Orpington in particular has a really long tail compared to the RIR. She (please be a she) is also the sweetest.

Any thoughts? I'll post back with results in a few weeks!

Thank you!

I am a new chicken mom so I am not an expert at ALL but I have two bantams that are now 10/11 weeks and when they were 5 weeks old the cockerel had a very similar comb while my female bantam had a much smaller yellow comb at 5 weeks.

It’s still slightly early, but the fact your lavender has waddles showing this early makes me think he might be a boy. RIR still looks like pullet. Bantam most definitely boy. Post pics again at 8 weeks, hopefully the lavender is just early developing.

Hello everyone!
Here’s the 8-week update. As suspected the bantam is a cockerel and the RIR seems to be pullet and my darling LO seems to be a pullet too. I’m so delighted! Of course I still could be surprised, but only the bantam is crowing. (It’s a very quiet, sweet little sound. I’ve never heard anything like it! He’s so tiny!)

They make a beautiful trio! Fingers crossed he remains sweet! I love bantam roosters. Their crow is the best!
