sexing a 7 month old duck

How do I sex some seven/eight month old pekin ducks I am purchasing?? Thanks, Keystonepaul

By that age, you simply look at their tails. Curling tail feathers is a boy. Smooth are a girl.

Also listen to their voices. The females quack and the males make a kind of raspy noise. The reason that might matter is that one poor lady who posted on here bought some ducks she was told were female but the seller had clipped off the drake feathers. You probably are dealing with an honest person but it's good to know.

Yes, better to sex by quack. I bought what I thought was a hen, due to the lack of drake feather, but turned out to be a drake

but quack can be a tricky science as well b/c they can be loud as drakes but you could also look at bill color depending on breed b/c i have a louder drake with no drake feathers but a drake bill thats how i know hes a drake
