We purchased 6 Broad Breasted Bronze Turkey from Orschelns mid-May, is it too soon to tell if I have hens or Toms? I am 95% sure that one is a Tom, he is always puffing up and fanning his tail. The other 5, I'm not sure, all the information I'm reading online has me going back and forth. All of them have a strip of hair on the back of their heads, many of their wattles will turn bright red. I have watched them all puff up but only the one has fully fanned it's tail. None have gobbled to this point. My overall GUESS is 2 hens and 4 Toms.

Too soon to sex from photos. Wait until they are at least 3 months old.

Once they have their adult breast feathers, the breast feathers of the hens will have a light colored lower edge. The adult breast feathers of the males will be dark colored or black.

The juvenile breast feathers of both sexes will have the light colored lower edge.
