Hi! I have some silkies and a polish 4-5 weeks old. I know it’s too early to probably tell their sexes but I wanted to see what you guys think! My white Silkie Cinderella is very standoffish doesn’t like being handled and her/his comb started turning red this morning, he/she is also much bigger than my other two silkies the same age. I think The black and blue silkies are pullets they are sweeter. Then Rapunzel aka Elvis is nuts he/she is so skittish (which I know is typical of polish) and bossy, but there’s no fluff here all rockstar crest so far! I’m also curious what you think his/her coloring is? I think silver laced but I’m not sure. Would love you get your input on sexes and polish color! Thanks guys

Much too young, but that first silkie has quite a comb developing already.

Your polish is actually an appenzeller I believe.

Post photos for the silkies after 3 months.

Yes I think your right about the appenzeller! I looked at photos and totally agree! That’s crazy I bought it advertised as a polish from a local hatchery. They are so beautiful though no complaints here! Thanks for pointing it out

I am also needing some help trying to figure out if my chicken is a hen or a roo

... I think this is a roo. "It" hasnt started crowing yet... but comb and wattles are bigger than my other silkie hen...

I know these are too young too, but there is definitely a gender difference in these two columns of chicks!!! Which column do you think has boys, and which has girls?
