I just hatched 5 polish bantam chicks.
One of the chicks took a long time to hatch.
It had zipped most of the way and couldn't get out for a long time.
When it did get out, it was very weak and it ended up having greenish diarrhea.
Should i be concerned? they are freshly hatched and none of the others have passed any stool only this one.
Is there something wrong with the chick? Is it something that could make the other chicks sick?

I just checked and it almost looks like there is a liver like thing coming out of its butt.
Its not the umbilical chord

Greenish diarrhea is normal. Sounds like it was not quite ready to hatch. The liver like thing is the yoke sac that was not completely absorbed. If it is small you can try to push it inside, if it stays the chick will probably be alright.

Ok, ya thats one someone else just told me too.
I wish i could move the others so they can't peck it, but they arn't fully fluffy yet and i'm waiting for the brooder lamp to heat up
