Should I be giving GRIT to my 7 week olds?

They are in a permanent coop/run w/ sand in the run part all day long...... I do see them eating the sand but should I offer them grit anyway? I bought some, just haven't put it out yet. Will they only eat what they need and not more?

They will only eat what they need. Since you already have it, put it in a dish in their coop. On days when they don't want to go out into the run, they will have it inside, plus it won't be exposed to the elements. Chickens like different sizes & variety.
