Well yesterday I finally did it. A couple I wasn't 100000% sure about but I got rid of 6 and I'm down to 10 that I am sure are pullets. I am keeping 7 and my friend is getting the other 3 in barter so we are good to go.

The ones I wasn't totally sure on, I was at least 90% sure and that was good enough for me. I do hate killing things, but I take care of my boys with kindness and respect and that's the best I can do for them. I tried to give them away first but as I expected, no one wanted them.

This guy is tearing down my coop. He's been at it all day. It'll take him til day after tomorrow to finish. It has 4 layers of floor. My old man is dead to me.

It's okay. I'll build a new one someday. Meanwhile we're all doing fine and all the cats, dogs and parakeets are settled. We're pretty happy at the next house over, it's weird, but it's working.

Anytime now! The four pullets are 16-weeks. My very first pullet did lay at 16-weeks. Not that I really expect it.
This is supposed to be a LH. Ummm... I don’t think so.

The ducks are doing well, the other birds are still around. Man, I’m sorry I lost my nerve to kill the extra boys. I was putting the tomatoes in the garden this morning, and a rooster came in. I just couldn’t kill him.
Duckling’s bantams just turned one last week. Still no fertile eggs from her.
We gave them corn.
