I always shudder when I see that post title but here goes
This pullet hatched fine but her leg started turning in at about 2 weeks. She ended up hopping With the leg turned nearly backwards and the weight on the back of her foot.
Is this just a slipped tendon? I put her down today when I moved her siblings to the bigger coop. No way could she have gotten up and down the ramp.
Any reason why I can't eat this bird? Or should hesitate to? She seemed fine other than the limp and maybe being underweight.

A picture would help I guess. Lol.

If you’re still hesitant I’d breast out what meat I could, legs too if there’s enough, and give it a quick boil for the dogs. I usually try to salvage something at least
I think she's going to the cats. I'll butcher & skin and then into the crockpot. There are two cats here who will be thrilled tomorrow.
