Should I hatch ducks or chicks?

cause after a few days shell end up quiting on the duck eggs cause those are a longer incuabtion period then chicks..... the chicks will be up and walking around and playing by the time they hatch. so i wouldnt try both at the same time.

My understanding is that to hatch ducks & chicks together, you put the ducks under the hen a week before you add the chicks. That way they all hatch at the same time.

Personally, I'd do ducks right now. They are more cold-hardy. But it doesn't sound like cold is going to be a big deal anyway so... do what makes you happy. Do you like ducks or chickens better? Which are cuter and more fun to you? Which do you want more of?
