Should I pip the eggs for late chicks?

I had to save my eggs from the hen two days ago because she was killing them as they hatched, and I have no incubator. Last night, I helped one hatch. This morning, three had pipped, but one was dead. I don't know at what point I should help the two remianing pipped chicks since the membrane is drying and I've had so many complications. Two more eggs haven't pipped, but were alive as of yesterday. Should I pip the eggs myself to see if the chicks are still alive? Will this give them a better chance of survival?

If they dry out, they will die. I guess you could try to help the piped ones, if there is no way they would survive if you did nothing.
