I hate to even consider it since I like him, but he has drowned one of my hens today. I wasnt around but I found her in their pool with feathers missing from her neck. He has always been a zealous guy but I never thought he would drown one, he was the only drake with 4 hens. I just lost my rooster and now this and the deaths are wearing on me.
I'm wondering if it is best to rehome him to avoid this in the future, as I fear his zealousness will only be worse with even fewer hens. I will miss him but I fear for my other hens lives. I don't have a set up where I want to or need to breed my own ducks anyway...
