Can't seem to find anyone online who raises them. Most are old threads, old dead links. I have two 23 week old hens that haven't laid yet. Because of the lack of breeders I'm seriously considering taking them on with my Andi's as well. I'm ordering from MMcMurray again. This time a cockerel and a couple more pullets.

This is my Sicilian Buttercup roo that I got as the free rare breed from McMurray Hatchery this Spring. We love him, he is very nice to his girls. He has never shown any aggressive behavior, thankfully.

Sicilian Buttercups are an Ornamental Light-weight Mediterranean breed. The are the only breed I know of with a cup comb.

Excerpt from my hatching catalog:

"A beautiful but flighty bird this is another of my favorites. Their interesting comb shape and gorgeous colors are something else. And their crow is quite distinctive. They are a good layer of small to medium sized white eggs. They are excellent foragers and love to free-range in the afternoons."

Rocky, father of original birds (I apologize for his grainy pic. I lost the originals and scanned a printed copy.):

Eggs (obviously the white ones...the dark ones were Marans...not sure on the light ones...):
