Hi!

Our girl, Sammie, looks like she’s malting. Today she was hiding in her nesting area. We noticed she had yellowish diarrhea and stuck to her butt. We have her soak. She’s eating and drinking. We separated her. Should we be concerned?? I’m rookie at this and not sure! Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

I'm sorry she's have a rough time, I have a few questions.

How old is she?
What feed is she on?
Is she currently laying?
Have you checked for mites / lice?
Any new chickens added to the flock recently?
Any roosters or bullies in the flock?
How hot is the weather where you are?

If she is molting, she will benefit from higher protein chicken feed.

Thank you for replying. Sammy is the lowest in the pecking order. I do believe she is molting. They are on an 18% protein feed plus grit plus herbs no rooster. Nothing new to the chicken run and no new chickens.

I would try offering her some cooked egg, to boost the protein level.
