I'm so sorry for your loss.
is it possible it may have been Marek's? I dont really know much about it at all but I read that one symptom is "on side unable to get up (one leg in front one stretched out behind), toes curled.

I am a new chicken mom (and according to my husband paranoid at that). I wish I could be of some help but dont know enough yet.

So sorry for your loss. If you haven't buried her, do you have a local ag extension office that could do a post mortem to determine cause of death? This would yield valuable info.
