Sick hen

I have search at pet store and I don't seem to find it
If I buy it from amazon it will take a few days.
This is why I am saying is their any other nutritional foods equal to
Calcium gluconate

Hello and welcome to BYC!

That looks like damage from the rooster. The proper ratio of rooster to hen is 1 roo to 8 to 10 hens. Any less hens and they over mate one or two hens as this appears her. The rooster can over mate the literally to death.

So for now you need to separate her out and get some antibacterial ointments on this. I would however keep her within the flock in a cage where they can all see her but not bother this sore. Chickens can turn cannibalistic and could kill her. And this will also make it easy to get her back into the flock once she has healed.

Remove your roo or only allow him an hour or so with your hens. Either this or add 5 more hens to your flock.

Good luck and I hope you can get her healed soon! :)

Foods such as broccoli, kale, collard greens, canned salmon, tofu, yogurt, and ground almonds contain large amounts of calcium. I would also use Tums, or dissolve a human calcium table in water and give it in her food.
