Sick Rooster

My 5 month old Mille Fluer rooster, Pearlman, has segregated himself from the rest of the flock. He spends all day huddled in the corner of the coop and yesterday when I when to pick him up he fell over and couldn't get up on his own. His comb is floppy and his is very listless. I have brought him indoors and trying to get him to eat. We live in Southern VT. This started about a month ago and I thought he was just cold. Now I know it more than that. Any ideas as to what is happening and what I can do??

Thanks for your words. He passed away peacefully this morning. I am going to have an autopsy done to rule out serious viruses. I am concerned about my other 10 chickens. I got him and another hen from some one and I cant be sure they were vaccinated. Take care.
