Hi, I have 1 young silkie pullet (I think) that I have only had for about 2 weeks that I bought in a pullet pair but the other one has passed away, but I feel my silkie is lonely so I have found a little bantam hen that is up for sale due to being picked on by the rest of the other chickens. I just wondered would they be ok together and what process would I go through to introduce them because I can only find information on bigger flocks??

I would quarantine the new hen (she appears to be a silky cross) and then use the 'see, but don't touch' method to gradually introduce them. There will very likely be some quarreling, but with the type birds involved I predict a rather uneventful integration.
