Hi all,

I've noticed today my Silkie boy (about 6months old) has runny/foamy yellow poo - pic for interest.
He has no odd behaviour, is kept "inside" in undercover run (UK AI rules) and is fed on poultry feed (layers pellets are available for the girls). He isn't lethargic or anything, still eating and drinking OK. After googling (doh!) and sifting through the threads of really sick chickens on here, I'm now worried.
Am I looking at coccidosis/worms?

Thanks!

You could ask your vet if you could bring in a ziploc bag of his droppings to check for parasites. Flubenvet or Flubendazole are good for worming. Harkers Coxoid is used for treatment of possible coccidiosis. Those are easy to get without a prescription. It sounds like he is having no symptoms of illness. What do you feed him?

It's an all flock feed, but he has access to layers pellets too. And some kitchen scraps, most recently (about 2-3 days ago) some butternut squash which I wondered if this is what it was.

Thanks, I'll Google these.
