That's a cockerel, and the cross looks about right.Hi, I bought this pullet (?) and was told she's a cochin/silkie mix. Can someone confirm this is a pullet (approx 5 months old) and what would her breed be? View attachment 3730480View attachment 3730481 Thanks for any help, kind of new to this.
Is it because of the different colors? Are pullets usually solid? Would he be considered a Sizzle?Sure looks like a Silkie/Cochin mix, and the coloring says 100% cockerel.
It's not because pullets are usually solid colored, they can be lots of colors too. The cockerel coloring I'm seeing is all the red on his wings and back. Pullets almost never have this color, and especially in the areas your guy has it. Sizzles have silkied, frizzled feathers, so no, your boy would not be considered a sizzle. Is it because of the different colors? Are pullets usually solid? Would he be considered a Sizzle?
