I recently got into chickens and have decided to show silkies and am trying to learn as much as possible. With that being said I’m wondering what the recognized silkie colors are by the APA before I start building my show flock. I have searched online and can’t seem to find a definitive answer.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Paint is different than a splash. Splash is blues and Paint, I believe is white with black "Paint" spots. It's my understanding that Paints are not recognized yet. But they are working on it.

Or would that also be considered splash?
It would not be considered splash. I showed my silkies at the California State Fair and there WAS an option for paint so I decided to get one of these beautiful silkies and will show her at the fair next year! I'm soooo excited!!:celebrate

Paints are not an APA recognized silkie variety. Not even in California.
You can however show them as well as any other unrecognized varieties of other breeds at APA sanctioned shows.
