How do I take care of silkies

Welcome. Silkies are small, so as @DobieLover said, they need a very very secure coop and run. You need to have 1/2 inch hardware cloth to cover any holes in the coop and to have on ceiling, sides and you need an apron - this is when you attach your hardware cloth at the bottom and then run it along the ground 18-24 inches and cover it with dirt and/or rocks. This will prevent digging predators from getting to your silkies. They are very friendly and chatty. Make sure they have cover from the elements besides their coops - you can so this with a tarp.
