Silkie Rooster??

I have a 7 month old black Silkie named blue. I’m pretty sure Blue is a roo I need to find a way to make sure he doesn’t mate with any of my hens or doesn’t crow. I need to find I way to make this work in order to keep him. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as I am new to owning a small flock. I was thinking maybe put a diaper on him to stop him from mating with my hens. Though I don’t know what to do about the crowing. He doesn’t crow that often.

What's the problem with him mating with the hens ? If it is a REAL problem, separate him from the flock. Roosters crow - it's what they do.

My mom doesn’t want babies. Can you even cross a silkie with a buff Orpington or Dominique?? Would people buy them?
