Hi I am new to silkies and was wandering if these are hens or roosters

How old is the bird? To me, it looks like a female.

just guessing both are around 5 months I just bought them yesterday at an auction

I don't make like to offer an opinion unless I see clear head forward photos, showing comb with crest held back. Age is also important.

I'm guessing female but I have never raised silkies. And straight run is usually male but can be females too!
