Poor girl moulting 😞 how long does it usually take for feathers to grow back? I've never had one this bad before! ..maybe my rooster is mating her too much as well as she's moulting?

I bought a breeders choice multipack of eggs for the Easter HAL expecting bantam Ameraucanas, Watermaals, and d’Anvers…but she also sent d’Uccle eggs and eggs marked GL. Turned out she also added two gold laced satin eggs that were covered by a confetti silkie rooster 😍 I’m super excited to see how the one that hatched feathers out! Soo pretty as a baby ❤️

My friend sent me a closer pic.. still looking girly I think!? Looks like a single comb too, they do pop up every now and again 🤔

And this is the boy.. absolutely certainly a boy! 😅 .. another single comb too 🤔View attachment 3459724
The single combs can definitely happen. Bambina and Barney (rehomed) both were single combs, from an exclusive silkie breeder (no other breeds).

It was such a beautiful day today.. post several days of good rain. Everyone was hiding under the sunflowers, getting bugs I'm sure.

Here is Esmeralda, looking dead, but not. Just enjoying the sunshine.

I love when they have their great chicken lives!

And, while i was sitting with them (was doing hawk duty, but then missed the hawk who flew right over), i saw some fruit on my tree! So its confirmed to be plum... it says European common plum, but I'm not positive im familiar with them. Anyone had them before? They turn purple when they mature.
