Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Give them a few days. Certain colors have lighter skin on hatch. Pink toe tips also happen and usually darken up.
Funny thing is they all have diff toes. And the legs didn't change yet in color. One white one is a frizzle and is a EE cross the other is much smaller same x EE silkie. But the ones I thought were partridge are so diff now. Crazy coloring. 4 are roos.

I'm not sure what a blue and buff mix would give. Not likely to actually be a blue partridge. Even if it gets a little lacing, it wouldn't be enough for partridge.


Too many molting birds right now. Both of the hens and the older rooster are too ratty to get a good look. Here's the best looking of them. Sorry about light. Evening and smoke discoloring sun.

Young cockerel. He's a darker blue but his rear end shows the truth.

This is Molly who is 3/4 silkie. Her beard is groomed off and she's never had a good crest. She's decently blue partridge. Won't bring the chick near the camera so not the best light.
