i think I’m approaching the separate stage, but I’ve never done this with rooster before.

Can I separate the bully roo for a few days and then reintroduce him to reestablish the pecking order, like I would do if I had a bully hen? Or will roosters just fight more after reintroduction?

I’m not against culling (they’re both pet quality so wouldn’t be easy to rehome) but I’d really rather not if it can be avoided by a time out lol.

you can separate both of them from the girls till they calm down. if you have a cage it will do. just no girls around.

How about these colors? The two buffs are full siblings while the light blue is a half sibling.

Two of my newest Satins! Any guesses what they’ll look like? Mom is a Blue Cream Silkie and Dad is a Lav Cuckoo Satin (his mom was gold laced, and Dad Confetti). 😆 They’re so pretty but guessing it’ll be a smorgasbord of genes! 😆

I’d love some opinions (again lol)!

My chicks will be 6 weeks this week. They have been with my hen in a separate coop since the first week because my roos cuddled puddled too aggressively.

I can tell my hen wants out BAD and back to her original coop. She seems miserable with the chicks (I would be too cooped up with 10 teenagers lol).

Should I return the hen to her original coop? With the chicks? Alone?

It’s warming up here so I think the chicks would be okay alone overnight, even though they aren’t fully feathered. But wondering if putting them in the main coop at the same time as mom would help the flock accept them?

I had bad luck with intergrating 3 mo chickens. good luck anyway.
