Can someone please help me understand this chick I hatched out from eggs I bought.

Breeder states she has one hen that occasionally throws a ‘white’ chick that so far have been male.

At first I thought, Sport? But is it actually double silver? And what if any benefit would it be to use for breeding?

Thanks in advance :frow

I'm looking to buy some silver laced culls from anybody willing to sell them. I need the color but not the body type for a project im doing so if anyone has some with decent color but bad type i'd be interested.

10-10-14 young Silvers 037.JPG This was a young Pure English Silver Laced,( Skip's Son) He matured into a perfect example of what a true Silver Laced should look like. He is 100% Pure Silver Laced, meaning he did not carry any Gold Lace bloodlines. He matured in weighing 15+ pounds (big guy) and is super friendly. Today he is still on our farm as happy as a rooster can be. This photo was taken when he was still very young, On our farm we do not breed/cross our Pure Silvers with the Golden Lace, as this is not a practice that the Master breeder Bob Follows does not recommend. As crossing these two colors together only will result in feathers showing a bleed out of the gold feathers in the future.

Our foundation Pure English Silver Laced hen.
