I bought a SSB at the Conroe, Tx sale in early May. She was supposed to be (or just getting to) laying age. I had her for a couple of weeks, then she laid 3 eggs on consecutive days, then took a 2 week break. Now she has laid 3 eggs again in 3 days. Waiting to see if she takes another break.

Is this normal for Bantams? Not like the egg market will crash if she doesn't lay, they are so small (but so is she).

We have Modern Game Bantams and the hens do this to. They'll lay everyother day for a bit...then break for a week or two. My daughter has a really nice pair of Golden Sebrights she is working with for showmanship and this little hen does the same thing and since she's the only one its a big production among the kids when we get an egg lol.

The most my Sebright would lay is every other day, and sometimes only twice a week. I would say for sebrights it's pretty normal. :)
