I read a bunch of threads on how to keep chickens out of the garden. I don't want a fence around mine since I like the look. I don't want an automated sprinkler because I have dogs and I dont want them wet all the time. So, I screwed on a $5 sprinkler to my hose and set it up so that it is really tall and sprinkling the entire garden. This works out GREAT! My garden's getting the water it needs and my chickens leave it alone... completely! I'm sure someone else is doing this too but I haven't read that thread...
