For consideration I’ve got two six week old large fowl Cochins that my broody hatched. The splash one was born almost a day after the black but feathered in very quickly and has plenty of tail while the black feathered in so slowly that I thought it would never happen (it’s still peach fuzz underneath.

I had been thinking the splash is definitely pullet and the black roo...but I’m no longer sure. Both seem to have the same behaviors, the Black is a little more likely to wander further from foster mom.

Thank you!!!!

Ahhh noooo :(

The difference in feathering doesn’t mean anything?
The feathering doesn't matter so much as the comb color. Are they really getting pink already or is that just the photos?

After looking at them again I think my original call is incorrect and they are pullets.
